There cannot be one decision in this world that will satisfy each individual involved in any given circumstance. Someone is destined to disagree or be displeased with the outcome of a situation. In some cultures, like the United States of America, there are government laws and regulations that the population must abide by. But this does not mean these rules are followed, they are strictly guidelines for one to live their life and if broken then there are consequences. Many of these same concepts are found in religious texts in all cultures; which most people closely follow. There is one difference between government law and religious values; there is forgiveness and hope if these so called codes of conduct are broken in religion. In society there is punishment. The sentencing a person gets from a jury of their peers, or however these crimes are dealt with, is a direct reflection on how society as a whole views the offense.
