With the upcoming October 14th election in Canada there are many issues that have come up such as health care, education, environment and economy. According to a poll at the bottom of “mapleleafweb.com” environment comes in at number one, next economy and then health care. So I decided to go with health care as my topic. Now health care comes in at number three in the election issues for this election according to this poll which I think would be number one due to the lack of nurses and doctors from years past. The issue of health care in Canada is based on the public vs. private health care.
What is public health care? It is health care governed by the Canada Health Act. This act is to insure that all qualified people in the country have access to insured health services. This act is also designed to make sure that the delivery of health care is somewhat consistent through out the country.
