Sociology, among other disciplines such as economics, political science, anthropology, and psychology, is comparatively a new study among other social sciences. Sociology is defined as a social science that studies human societies, institutions and their interactions. It examines the dynamics of constituent parts of societies around the world such as communities, populations, and gender, racial, or age groups. Sociology also studies social status or stratification, social movements, and social change, as well as societal disorder in the form of crime, deviance, and revolution.
Humans depend on social institutions and organizations to inform their decisions and actions.
