As we all know, there were many characters in the Reformation era. They could be the people who always kept their own principles in the face of personal risk or who inquired for common ground among lots of controversies. One of them includes Thomas More, who was as the martyr of conscience.
Thomas More was born in Milk Street, London on February 7, 1478. More went to Oxford to study. Meanwhile, he was the writer of many comedies and he also studied Greek and Latin literature. In about 1494, More came back to London and was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn to study law. While here, he was confused between the decision of living a monastic life or living with the civil service and finally he decided to be a monk and participate in monastic life. This led to his entrance to parliament in 1504. He got married with Jane Colt in 1505; this wife bore him four children. In parliament, More inspired a reduction in a proposed appropriation for King Henry VII. Therefore, the......
