The piece that uses the “Show me, don’t tell me” method best is the Old Gas Station. This is because every detail and description in the piece is not explicit and has to some degree some subtext. The mood and atmosphere that the author has set is very well done since the author has caught the audiences attention in what is going on very implicitly, and that is why he has done a better job than other authors who have stated their description too explicit, thus allowing readers to identify the subtext and meanings behind the words that has been present in his work.
