Abstract
This information is to demonstrate to prospective employees of Acme Motor Company the “economic experience of Mexico since NAFTA”, or North American Free Trade Agreement (Course Material, 2005). I will try to explain how concerns such as the “trade liberalization, national sovereignty, workers rights, World Trade Organization and committees, and the different types of economic developments” (Course Material, 2005) and how these issues affect Mexico. I will also explain the association of Mexico with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, or IMF.
Mexico’s Economic Experience
The six years before NAFTA, the growth of Mexico’s employment grew only 78% over and grew 110% after the agreement was in place (Gruben, 2001). With the NAFTA in place and opening the borders for U.S. companies to move production into the interior of Mexico, Mexico uses the agreement for preferential trading partners – the U.S. and Canada, in that order (WTO, 2008).......
