Specific Purpose: To inform my audience that the American spirit of "do-it-yourself" is an
American culture aspect based on the history, how it influenced American people
and how it reflected in many aspects of American life.
Introduction:
Let me ask you a question first. How many of you have a job? In America parents usually treat their children as adult when they reach 18. That means, they should be financially independent and start to have their own life. When a teenager is around 18 years old, he or she is encouraged to find a job. Now, think about it, why do you have this passion to do it yourself? Why do you want to rely on yourself, not others? Those thoughts are not as common as you think.
