Value of Diversity
This paper will discuss a personal work experience issue that I feel would have been resolved or possibly would not have existed if there was a presence of a diverse workforce. Specific details will be provided regarding how diversity would have prevented the situation or would have facilitated a more winning resolution to the issue.
I am currently employed at a legal and corporate copying service. I have been with this service for ten years. We are a very small company with only 4 employees;
when I started ten years ago the company was a franchise. During this time there were about ten or more employees. We had salesmen that would go out to our customers at the law firms and other companies and pick up jobs or scout for new customers. There was one particular salesman that was talked about throughout the company. He was attractive, well-dressed, and funny. He was indeed the ladies man. He had a rich and well-known girl-friend and soon later they did marry.......
