During the winter break of 2006, my family and I decide to go down to Nigeria for an anniversary of my fathers death. On my way I was happy that I would be able to see my entire family that I hadn’t seen in years, but also sad that it was because off my dead father that I’m going down there. When we finally arrived, we were greeted by family.
After a couple of days past my mother called me and said she wanted to ask me a question. When she started talking she asked me if I wanted to stay back in Nigeria. I looked at her and asked why and she said my grandfather told her to ask me. I don’t know what came over me cause when she finished I went off to cry, but when I was finished I came back and said yes I will stay. I wasn’t doing it for me, but for my grandpa. After I just forgot about what happened and continued having fun.
