Friendship and the Importance of Relationships

We have covered a lot of material and have read the ideas and opinions of many people in our class. The Chosen has been the most influential book to me so far. I can relate many of the themes that Chaim Potok presents in his book to my life and my own experiences. One of the biggest themes that struck me while reading his novel was friendship and the importance of relationships in our lives. Danny and Reuven found out the importance of relationships that they had in their lives and I can relate parts of my life to their experiences.
First is the relationship between Danny and Reuven. Their friendship started with hate and grew into love. I have had an incredibly similar experience in my life as well.
