By talking to my neighbors, I can confidently say many people like the sometimes below competitors’ prices, and the large availability of products in this seemingly one-stop shopping superstore. But, unbeknownst to many, there are higher costs that consumers must endure to keep Wal-Mart’s prices so low. By Wal-Mart being non-union, communities must pay for how Wal-Mart puts a burden on taxpayers’ wallets.
Walking through Wal-Mart, one can’t help to see all the blue and yellow tags neatly hung row after row below each product, advertising just how low their prices are. How is it that Wal-Mart can keep prices so low, and keep consumers coming back for more? The average shopper cannot so easily answer the question of how prices stay low. Most shoppers see the advertised low costs and continue on with their shopping experience, not thinking......
