The French revolution was very political, which reminds me tremendously about the United States during the presidential elections, when it comes to education, health insurance and many other issues. On the other hand, the French Revolution “underwent radical change to forms based on enlightenment principles of nationalism, citizenship, and inalienable rights.” American Negro Slave Revolts is a book written by Herbert Aptheker stated that “discontent and rebelliousness were not only exceedingly common, but, indeed, characteristics of American Negro slaves.” To my understanding this quote is implying that years ago not many people were unhappy and rebellious but American Negro slaves felt this way, due to the living condidtions and the everyday struggles that they had to face.
