It’s Your Family

The word family is one of those words where any meaning can be given to it. There is no set or universal definition or meaning to it. Like the word love, family is something that is defined by the person and/or culture. There are many, if not, tons of perspectives on families out there in the world. If you turn on your television, you’ll have a pretty good chance of running into a family, either on a reality show or in fantasy. Take for example, the TV reality show American Chopper. The show is mainly about motorcycles, but the family still exists there. It is not a necessarily a pretty, ideal family, but it is one. The famous Brady Bunch is also a family that is featured on the classic late night shows. It is more mainstream and ideal to America’s societal view of a ‘correct’ (working dad, stay-at-home mother, good children with high academic standing; everything is perfect) family.
