Warren Buffet

Warren Edward Buffett has become the most successful investor in the world by sinking his money into undervalued companies with low overhead costs, high growth potential, strong market shares and low price-to-earnings ratios. He was born in Omaha, NE on Aug. 30, 1930 and is known as a self-made billionaire, democrat and outspoken advocate of corporate integrity who seems to practice what he preaches. He has always been intrigued with numbers. He bought first stocks at age 11—three shares of Cities Service Company, now known as CITGO, sold soda pop door to door, had a paper route and eventually saved enough to buy 40 acres in Nebraska at age 14 in which he turned around and made more money renting the land. His investment strategy is to buy stocks that would outperform the Dow Jones average by at least 10% annually, and he usually focuses on well established but under performing companies, and may hold stocks for years or decades.
