The overwhelming presence of science in our contemporary life makes us wonder how it becomes successful. Philosophers of science have attributed this success to different factors. Some, including the lay people, would say it is due to the technology it has produced, currently producing and will be. But as we can see, the line between science and technology is not a straight one. They say that science is the precursor of technology. But there are also sciences which gained its fame primarily through a specific technology.
