The teenage Brain is not fully Developed
A study presented at the BA festival of science in England in september of 2006 states that the frontal lobe of teenagers is not wekk developed and they can not behave like adults. The executive functions of the frontal lobes involve the ability to recognize future consequences resulting from current actions, to choose between good and bad actions (or better and best), override and suppress unacceptable social responses, and determine similarities and differences between things or events. Even thoughthe teen may be 16 0r 17 years old and look like adults, the brain is not matured. Teenagers tend to think with the back of their brains and adults on front of their brain. What the teenage brain does not take into account is how their actions may affect those around them. Teenagers are selfish and impulsive beacause the part of the brain that holds empathy is not well develeped. Their brains arephysiologicallyunderdeveloped in theareas that......
