Planet Mars
Mars is a planet full of depth. From the view of the Earths sky Mars appears to have a reddish tint in color. This is why Mars is commonly known as the red planet after the Roman god of war. Over the years scientists have been fascinated with Mars. Perhaps
this is due to the mystery behind the surface, with its large volcano’s and possible riverbeds. This short essay will discuss the atmosphere composition, interior structure, rotation and orbit time, Mars moons, how it was formed, and the special features.
The atmosphere of Mars is very different from Earth. It is made up of mostly of carbon dioxide and other small gases. “Mars has a very thin atmosphere composed mostly of the tiny amount of remaining carbon dioxide (95.3%) plus nitrogen (2.7%), argon (1.6%) and traces of oxygen (0.15%) and water (0.03%)” (“Nine Planets”). Mars air contains only about 1/1000 as much water as our air, but even this small amount can condense out, forming clouds that ride......
