In my research paper I am going to concentrate on the topic of teen drinking, more specifically the responsibility of teens, their parents and the government to demote underage drinking. My thesis statement is as follows: It is not only the responsibility of the government to establish laws that demote underage drinking, but also the responsibility of the parents to inform their teens of the consequences of such actions; more so, it is the responsibility of the teens themselves. To support my thesis I will have three main points. The first main point being the governments responsibility in teen drinking and the programs they have started to stop it. Programs including don’t serve teens week and laws like the social host law aimed at parents allowing teens to drink in their house.
