Josh walked off sad, depressed and lonely. Josh was only twelve years old. He was an extremely intelligent and conscientious boy. Some people said that he could have been the son of Einstein. He really loved school.

His family was new to the Hemland area as his dad’s transfer from work had recently come through. Josh hated change. He always found making friends difficult. He often found himself alone. He had no one to talk to at all. His life wasn’t carefree like other teenage boys. He always felt that he was not “cool” enough. The bullies always said it to him.

One cold winter’s day, whilst Josh was sitting and eating his lunch the bullies approached him. The leader of the group Caleb said to Josh.
“I dare ya ta stay in the haunted house for a night. If ya do we will neva calla ya a girl and will tell everyone......
