The candidates realize that the American economy is in dire straits and have proposed plans to keep our economy afloat. Barack Obama feels rescuing the middle class will ensure the survival of the economy and John McCain wants to save the economy by decreasing the amount of government spending.
According to Obama, his four step plan includes, immediate action to create jobs in America, Immediate relief for struggling families, direct assistance to home owners, not a bailout for irresponsible mortgage lenders and a rapid aggressive response to this economic crisis using all the tools we have. One of Obama’s examples of how he will create jobs in America is by incorporating a tax credit in which businesses will receive a $3,000 refundable tax credit for each additional full-time American employee hired.
