I wanted to describe my experience with session three of the virtual leader program since that session saw me with the least power. This meeting consisted of Oli and Rosa, with whom I have already established a more comfortable rapport since they report to me, as well as Will and Herman, with whom I had not engaged in a formal meeting before. It was an important meeting since I was to be considered for a promotion. This took place in a conference meeting during the daytime and did pass all of the relevant issues. Throughout the session, I felt the need to build a mutual understanding with Oli and Rosa first and then perhaps try to partner with Herman on the call center topic. This was because it was necessary to excite the group into bringing up and thinking about their hidden ideas, as well as identifying and completing the critical work.
After the simulation, I began to wonder as to my own feelings and the others in the group; why was I feeling so strongly about my perspective......
