Teams will be formed during Class 5 to undertake a term paper that will review a Company in an Organization perspective. Each team will select an organization on the basis of accessibility (i.e. can obtain required information) and interest (i.e. an organization that team members find interesting and challenging).

Each team will prepare a report on the organization that includes the following:
• A brief overview of the organization (the size, industry, type of employees etc)
 A discussion of the environment in which the organization operates (consider open systems theory)
 Problems/ challenges/ issues, opportunities facing the organization
 Vision, Mission and Value statement(s)
 Organizational structure (divisional, matrix, etc)
 Description of the culture. What does the organizational behaviour look like? How are the values demonstrated?
 Human Resource Management philosophy and practices (e.g. what type of programs do they offer to their employees?......
