The Queen of Wedding Cakes
For Sylvia Weinstock is all started in 1975 when she apprenticed herself to a retired French pastry chef. When her husband and kids went up north for he weekends to go skiing she would skip the skiing and go baking with a bunch of chef that also ventured north. Soon after all the trips of knowledgeable baking her cakes soon became every bride’s dream- and her own publicity. Some of her cakes were even put out on the Regis and Kathy Lee show, and not to mention that cake that she designed for Vera Wang’s wedding.
She begins to tell how cake starts out. Each cake begins with a blueprint that shows all he dimensions of the composite board needed to support each layer the cake will have. They also show what dimensions that wood supporters will have; the number of flowers, the color scheme, and the look-be it basket weave, a silver leaf or a faux marble.
