At a time of economic peril, this election proves to be important in securing the nation’s social and economical future. Similar to the election of today, the Election of 1896 is based on the thing that matters most to people, money. In any election, no matter whether a candidate cares about racial equality, starving babies, abortions, and so on, the only thing of dire importance to the people, the voter, is whether he/she is in the red or the green. Money is the basis in which all things are possible. This sole fact is the reason behind my support of the claim ““The 1896 Election was one of the most important elections in US history in terms of social and economic matters”.
