Background and Statement of Need
The Company is a test and integration facility that runs tests of various software products to see that they meet customer-required configurations and operational requirements for various consumers. However, the Company’s own core servers are old, outdated and no longer supportable by the manufacturer or the IT support staff. Recently one of the servers failed and caused essential operational problems, as it took a very long time to get the server fixed, due to its age as stated above. Because of this the CIO and management decided it was time to update the core servers for the organization using current technology.
