Donald Duncan was the man who started it all. He was the man who invented the yoyo. His most common design of the yoyo was the Imperial design which was the first known design of the yoyo. Duncan went all of the world selling his new invention.
While he was selling his products he came up with a new design, the Butterfly design. Duncan’s largest factory produced over 3,600 yoyos of each design per hour. That’s 1,875,000 yoyos per day. In 1962, yoyo sales hit its peak at 45 million yoyos sold in that year alone.
Many people say that Donald Duncan was not the first to invent the yoyo, but he was the first to trademark it. The Greek were supposedly the first to invent the yoyo. It was first used as a weapon for face-to-face......
