Simply, without thinking about it, people choose one extend of territory and one collection of historical narratives as theirs, and they admit a group of people as fellow members of their nation. People have risked their lives for the well being of their nations. Moreover, health reform programs, environmental repair and social prosperity have gained political support because they request to a sense of national identity.
