Topic : Determination of Dissolved Metals in the Muddy River by X ray Fluorescence

This is essential for my research on sediments in the Muddy River .Watanabe, Berman and Russell wrote this article, discussing the application of the method to analyze trace metals As, Mn, Pb and Fe dissolved in water requiring a chelating reagent DDTC and PAN which forms insoluble metal chelates to recover trace elements from water by isolating the trace elements as a precipitate and analyzed by XRF. The article describes at length the detection limits, key parameters: recovery examined at various pH values, and improving precipitation with the use of the chelating reagent. I will use this information for the basis of my research presentation and guide me to the additional research in the Muddy River analysis.
