The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, (DFW), is an extremely culturally diverse group of communities. The DFW area is home to the sixth busiest airport in the world, over 59,000,000 travelers from around the world pass through this airport each year, (Wikipedia 2007). The population of the DFW metroplex is over 6,000,000 people, (Wikipedia 2007). The metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States, (Wikipedia 2007).
As a result of the large population, and the busy international airport, the DFW metroplex has an international population that features foreign nationals, foreign immigrants, (legal and illegal), and American citizens of all cultural backgrounds. Caucasian Americans of European descent are the dominant group, and there are large communities of Hispanic people, mostly from Mexico, many are from Central and South America as well.
