After some internet research I have chosen to go to the career fair prepared to talk and present myself and skills to the social service group. My main focus would be on all aspects of foster care; removing children, placing children, licensing and more. I have always been interested in helping children and trying to improve their lives in any way possible. My mother works in the foster care system and she is my inspiration and drive for wanting to enter this demanding field. It is definitely not a career you choose for the income, you do this job because it is what you believe in and what you love.
When it comes to this delicate subject, I feel I posses some of the vital qualifications’. I do also believe that a lot of the skills and characteristics that one needs to have a future in this career is common sense and it just comes natural and it is all about the person you are.
