John Mallard Keynes was born in Cambridge, London on June 5th 1883. Keynes was a successful investor who was wealthy. He collected books and fine art. He was also a homosexual until 1918 when he met Russian ballerina, Lydia Lopokova. Apparently Lydia had what it took to change his sexual preference because he married her in 1925.
John Keynes attended King's College, Cambridge in 1902 majoring in mathematics. He studied under Alfred Marshall who influenced Keynes to shift from math to the study of economics. Marshall personally funded for Keynes a lectureship in economics at Cambridge. This opportunity at Cambridge allowed Keynes to begin his reputation in economics.
During World War I, Keynes worked for the Adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and to the Treasury on Financial and Economic Questions. He was responsible for designing the terms of credit between Britain and its allies during the war and also for......
