IF MY PEOPLE WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.

Last week we learned that the word people here in this scripture means 'a congregated unit'. But I don't think we fully understand the importance of this word. God could have just as easily said, If my Children, or even If my sons and daughters and neither one would have changed the meaning of this scripture--or would it? Yes you could call us God's children, and God's sons and daughters and this scripture could still apply to us. But God used the word PEOPLE for a reason. He called for a 'congregated unit' for a reason.
For us to pray as a congregated unit, could also be called corporate prayer. And it is well known that corporate prayer brings tremendous results. It brings about a 'synergy' type prayer, which basically means that the results are greater than the sum of what......
