I. Situation
I was a temporary employee at Lacoste on the Champs Elysées last summer. I was hired after an interview with the Human Resources Director of Lacoste. Lacoste is a French brand which sells sportswear focused on tennis and golf clothing which are considered luxury products. The Champs Elysées is a very well known shopping street in France. There are many tourists year-round and therefore bring in many clients. The stores on the Champs Elysées are at least twice as profitable than in any other store in Paris. Therefore, there is a lot of competition between shops on the street.
The Lacoste team was composed of two directors, three managers, ten full-time salesmen and six temporary employees for the summer.
