To better understand my individual learning style, I have explored several learning style inventories/tests, these include: C.I.T.E Learning style (www.wvabe.org/CITE/cite.pdf), Jung Typology Test (www.humanmetrics.com), Modalities (www.howtolearn.com), Hemisphericity (http://brain.web-us.com/). I found that two of these instruments really helped me to understand my own learning style, and will further discuss those later, they include: Jung’s Typology Test and C.I.T.E learning style.
In the C.I.T.E learning style test, I discovered that I am a visual learner.
Visual learners prefer seeing what they are learning. Pictures and images help them understand ideas and information better than explanations. When someone explains something to a visual learner, he or she may create a mental picture of what the person talking describes.
