This reaction paper will discuss my response to a few different articles that relate to the meanings, types, and signs of substance abuse, and also how parents and teens can become aware of symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. The focus will be on teenagers/adolescents and how they are affected by different drugs and alcohol.

First of all, one must understand what substance abuse is and how it is defined in society.
