David Parker Ray What makes a person get to the point that they want to take another person’s life, or inflict pain on another human being just for the pure pleasure of it? To understand a serial killer it is necessary to look into their pastto see if there was any mental problems as a child or teenager. In the case of David Parker Ray, according to the book Cries in the Desert, by John Glatt, David Ray grew up in a violent atmosphere. David Ray was born on November 6, 1939 in Belen, New Mexico; his father was an alcoholic and would beat David on any given occasion.
