George Herman Ruth J.R. was born in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents were Kate, George S.R. and a sister Mamie. Babe Ruth had a not so good beginning. This made him become as strong as he was throughout his life. Babe’s parents worked long hours in their business. He was 7 years old when his father put him in an orphanage. His mother died at a young age and his father could’nt take care of 2 children and work. This is where he signs custody over to missionaries at S.T. Mary’s. This is the school Babe is in to get an education and lives his life. He spends 12 years at this school. He never gets to see his family or hear from them. This is where his career start’s.
