Something that catches the eye quickly is the red door in the front of the house in the very first scene. This can have so many meanings to every character inside the house and can portray how the household is. It can even predict the future of someone like Lester, who is known to be dead in the very beginning of the movie. The door can represent the infatuation that Lester has for Jane’s friend Angela, or the infatuation Carolyn has for “King”, or even the infatuation that Ricky has for Jane.
