Whale Song

1- This is has been the greatest year of my life, and now, in the span of two months, I am back on Vancouver Island. In the later days of September, I was on the East side of the island for 6 days, and now I am finally back among the lush forests and beautiful landscapes. Leaving Calgary, I watched the free TV thanks to Westjet, and it made time fly. Arriving at the ever so large Victoria International Airport (International, for 1 flight leaves for Seattle and San Francisco, which is another “nation”) with a total of 7 gates, with only two connecting to the plane, they have a large mall (1 store, 3 food places), and tons of luggage belts (2). Compared to Calgary with 50+ gates, over 200 stores, and at least 10 baggage belts, it was a dump. It was tied for first smallest “International” airport I have been to with Puerto Vallarta and Kelowna. We waited for what seemed like an our, only to get on an overheated bus. Man, it was HOT.
