Gentura and CadMex Pharma

There are many issues involved in the recent problems with the Gentura and CadMex Pharma contract. Analyzing the legal, ethical and business standpoints might help establish an understanding of the issues and to help solve some of the problems.

Ethical Standpoint

The ethical problem that CadMex Pharma is facing in regards to the contract is the rare viral epidemic that is currently taking place in Candore. The health department is estimating that 1 percent of the population will be infected. The government of Candore is placing great pressure on Gentura to subsidize the production of ViroBlax to help contain and eliminate the viral epidemic. Subsidizing ViroBlax will result in a violation of the payment terms of the contract. This violation would place ViroBlax in breach of contract.
