Issues of the World Today Elisha Johnson Selected Readings: Psy399 Dr. Trent Nguyen September 29, 2008 Abstract Several social problems confront the United States and world on a daily basis, too many to cover in a single book. From among these issues I have chosen to discuss problems that are particularly discussed in the text (Readings in Psychology, 2007). There are some issues that practically everyone today agrees are social and psychological problems such as stereotypes, gender communication differences, violence, abuse, drug addiction and homosexuality. However through research and other resources we are able to analyze the issues of this world to find an understanding and solutions. I will discuss through personal observation of the issues described above, fitting them in our understanding of psychological behavior.
