TWENTY-FIVE YEARS CHANGE IN VIETNAM

My research paper is about “twenty –five years of change in Vietnam”. I picked this topic because I am twenty-one years old and Vietnamese and wanted to find out more about how tourism, the current labor, and foreign investment are improving the health of the country. Growing up as a child I can remember seeing all the construction going on around me and thinking to myself how wonderful and new everything was looking. I understood it was not always like this from my granduncle stories; the building around us did not exist as they had been destroyed during Vietnam War. My granduncle was a decorated war veteran and had served seven years in the Vietcong jails; he was a tough solider, feared by many, yet when he described his ordeals I could see this expression change to one of sadness as he relived this experience. Remembering my granduncle’s stories now from my home in California, I have many regrets that I did not learned more about......
