Atomic weapons

The atomic bomb was created to give America the leeway during World War II; but its consequences, I believe, are still lasting till this day. America has been known for many things but dropped those atomic bombs on those cities was pretty harsh. Sure, Americans wanted surrender from the Japanese but to kill so many people, many not even really did not want anything to with the war, but they still got kill because of it. Honestly, I do not believe that people now days think that much about the atomic bomb and the damage it causes. For example, I see people laugh when they see a town hit with an atomic bomb in a movie but many people do not realize the real danger that bomb causes. Nuclear waste is still impossible to get rid of and it is contaminating this very Earth that we live on. Hey, I’m not tree hugger but I would like the Earth to survive long enough that my great, great grand kids can live on it without a problem.
