Communication is a critical function in today’s business society. For me it is very important that I be able to speak and communicate clearly and effectively to my colleagues and leadership team. In order to see our process through, I must communicate and give clear direction and be concise in that direction.
Some of my strengths in verbal communication are giving detailed instructions, speaking clearly and loudly, and being prepared to speak with data and facts. I like to give a clear road map on what I’m asking my team to do. I want to make sure that I don’t leave anyone in the dark or that they don’t miscomprehend the task that I have just assigned to them. It is important that when I assign a task I use the proper tone and vocabulary, so they don’t misunderstand and I won’t have to repeat myself several times.
