A symbol is an object, a picture, written word, a sound, or particular mark that represents (or stands for) something else by association, resemblance, or convention, especially a material object used to represent something invisible There are different meanings for every symbols. There are symbols such as a heart which represents love, but has no resemblance to an actually heart. There is a stop sign, which helps drivers out so they don’t get into accidents.
