Pit Bull Rescue Central

The organization I chose to discuss is Pit Bull Rescue Central. Pit Bull Rescue Central, or PRBC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, meaning that it is exempt from some Federal income taxes. The PBRC’s goal is to find home for neglected and abused American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers. These two breeds are negatively stigmatized and looked down upon by a great majority of people, mainly due to the breed’s history of attacks on humans and fighting background. The organization and its volunteers provide medical treatment, help other groups friendly to the breed, assist in the spay and neuter of the animals, and evaluate the temperament of the dogs before they are deemed fit for adoption.
The first criteria I will look at is the money donated to the organization and does it go directly to those the organization claims to assist. Secondly, I will discuss how the organization goes about accomplishing its goal.......
