Snow Patrol, a band from Dublin, Ireland, have been playing music together for 14 years now. The main composer and lead singer is Gary Lightbody. He and his four other band members started out as a college band at Dundee University.
They are a 20thcentury band. Their style is a progressive alternative rock that seems to take you on a journey with every themed album with Lightbody’s creative lyrics and catchy vocal patterns it’s hard not to sing along after only listening to a song once or twice. This five piece band consists of a drummer, guitarist, bassist, synthesizer, and a lead singer/guitarist. Most of their songs consist of a driving electric guitar part and a lot of building with the drums. With the synthesizer it adds a little new age electonica sound into the mix. The vocals seem to flow well with the music which makes it an easy listen. His lyrics are pronounced well so they are easy to understand.
