A man with a gifted talent goes unrecognized throughout his time on earth. A man with such a distinguished style of creativity and perfection went largely unrecognized until after his encounter with the man in black. The man who changed the art realm in so many dimensions was a man by the name of William Blake. William Blake, who was an English poet, painter, and printmaker, is often credited to be the most spiritual and influential writer of his time. His fine works play a significant part in the history of both poetry as well as visual arts. Misunderstanding shadowed his career as a writer and artist and only later generations recognized and valued his importance as a poet. Studying Blake’s poetry and paintings he accomplished throughout his life allows the individual to compare and contrast many differentiating morals and beliefs that were running frantic in Blake’s mind.
