The Cons of Skinner
*Skinner differed from other theorist in his choices for experimental subjects. Instead of using humans that were emotionally disturbed or normal or average examples. Skinner used pigeons and rats for experiments.
*The humanistic psychologist believed that humans are more complex than lab animals and they argued that he could not theorize with animals.
*Even though Skinner’s ideals were supported by some, his experiments were argued as lacking human emotions.
*It was argued that that his experimental situations lacked the response rates and the failure to consider human qualities that set us apart from animals with small brains.
