The way the army is can be defined by almost any you meet in the army. It is a Large expanse of experiences from people such as yourself and others, it is derived from years of traditions, decades of drills and pratices, and is also based on yours, and other people's perceptions.

Basic training was where my first perception of the amry was wrong, most people like myself though of the movie Full Metal Jacket and though that there would be a Drill Sergeant Heart waiting as soon as we got done shaving our heads, but, this is not the case, it was an instructor that was less into the physical pain to discipline soldiers as they were into the physical training, PT, to instill discipline and try to focus our minds.

The second way i was wrong, was when i got to my first duty station, i learned more in discipline then i had ever happened to during basic and Active Individual Training (AIT).
